It sounds like you’ll need a mixture of different services. This could include two different surveys, a matrix survey, or a watching brief in combination with any of the above. For geotechnical projects, we can cover both drilling operations and trial pit excavations with a single engineer per day. Our engineers will use specialist equipment to search the ground and make sure that excavations are carried out safely. The team will receive a UXO safety briefing in the morning delivered by our engineer.

An intrusive survey or downhole clearance will be required to make sure works are carried out safely. For piling we recommend an intrusive survey, and for geotechnical operations, downhole clearance is preferred. If you’re carrying out excavations, you’ll also need a watching brief.
