Brimstone is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Operations Manager to lead alongside the managing director as we continue to be the UK’s only government assured UXO company.

The mission of this role is to lead the UXO industry by providing market leading UXO services to help our clients, stakeholders, and communities better understand and mitigate the risk posed by explosive ordnance.

This role will be located at the Brimstone Head Office in Rochester, Kent.

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of all projects, engaging and liaising with clients to understand their project needs and site constraints. They will have overall responsibility for operational equipment and assets, ensuring equipment remains fit for purpose. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for producing documents, briefing papers, reports, and presentations in line with the day-to-day functioning of the business.

Management responsibilities will include supervising the operations team along with overall responsibility for subcontractor recruitment, training, operational deployment, and retention.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 10+ years EOD experience
  • 8 years commercial UK EOD experience
  • Demonstrable experience as a Project/Programme Manager or Senior Team Leader as a minimum
  • Intermediate-level EOD qualification as a minimum
  • SMSTS or equivalent
  • Health and Safety qualifications are desirable
